My desire is to come alongside women in the faith and encourage them with God’s word. The topics below are some of the things I am most passionate about and enjoy speaking about. They can be tailored into retreat events or one hour sessions. My goal is to come alongside you, as an influencer, to refresh and encourage the women you lead. You can know that I will be praying for you and your ladies in the weeks leading up to your event and I ask that you pray for me as well.
Umbrella Prayers – “my soul clings to you, your right hand upholds me.” Psalm 63:8
In this hands-on session, Melody leads women through Psalm 77 and encourages them to cling to who God is. Modeling Asaph’s example, of shifting his focus from current, overwhelming circumstances, to God’s attributes and characteristics helps women learn the spiritual life skill of praising God. Color and whimsical fun are incorporated into this session through the use of pre-decorated, miniature umbrellas and the Umbrella Prayers Workbook. Women will learn the power of intercessory prayer through this vivid visual method of prayer.
*Supplies Needed: markers (sharpies or paint pens for umbrellas and magic markers for paper), white copy paper, tables if possible, large dry erase board/markers, Umbrella Prayers Workbook, miniature umbrellas (optional)

Knowing where to start in Bible journaling can be the hardest part so Melody offers her best advice: The I.O.U’s and 2Q’s method of getting started. Women will leave encouraged to spend time in God’s word using this creative method of interacting with God’s word.

Tattle Telling – learning to brag on the good deeds of the Lord.
In this session, Melody teaches through a sampling of Psalms that encourage women to be modern-day tattle tales…..on God! This is an encouraging time of looking into scripture and talking through practical ways that we can proclaim God’s goodness at home, in our neighborhoods and workplace. Women will learn how to look for God sightings in their life and turn that into public praise.
Life is a Bowl of Wedgies – “shall we accept good from God and not adversity?” Job 2:10
In this session/s Melody weaves her testimony of infertility into a teaching session from the book of Job. She shares how in the midst of her deepest pain she inquired of God, “Are you punishing me?” God took her to the book of Job to reveal his answer to her. Melody encourages women that even through the darkest of days God is sufficient and enough.
Be a Soul Sweetener – a talk about the power of our words based on Proverbs 16:24.
In this session we talk about the power of our words. They have the power to build up and to tear down. To speak life or to drain life. Sharing funny stories but also getting serious we dive into the word of God and see both the dangers and blessings of our tongues.
