For these reasons and more I have never written my name in the margin of Proverbs 31: 1) I caught Sunday lunch on fire this past Sunday. My husband blew it out. 2) I added these to a pork roast recipe because I thought they were the same thing as dried onions. But they're not. Fried and Dried are not the same thing. 3) My husband has worn underwear socks inside out ... Read More »

Embrace the strangeness!
Okay, you do not need to agree or leave any sassy comments but I'm realizing and owning that we are a strange family. Really, we are. A few examples might include and I wish were limited to the following..... In our family we're just sick enough to occassionally turn the iconic red "you're special" plate into a weapon. If you're an adult and you get the red plate at your place ... Read More »
5 Boredom Prevention Tactics while waiting on the Doctor
We've all been there......banging our heads on the wall while we wait with our child for the Doctor to come in. So here's a few tactics we've resorted to and now look forward to doing should we have a long wait. 1) Use that stiff white paper your child is sitting on to play hangman and tic-tac-toe. *This works like a charm. Just don't use a sharpie unless your Doctor is okay ... Read More »
Pintest Plans down the drain.
So that's what I was hoping our Super Bowl Party would be looking like but instead it will be pretty much nothing close to that. It'll still be awesome though and we'll have spent less money which is always a good thing. Neither one of us had ever been to a Figuring Skating performance of any kind so we were both super excited. Randy was preaching Sunday night and Mitchell was at Youth Group so it was just me and Sophie ... Read More »

The kids are working through it as well with less verses than the adults. We have a Facebook page where we post the daily reading and then comment on what God showed us in our reading. I ... When apologies are hard but sweet
Oh yes she did. Sigh. The problem when you're a pastor's kid is that sometimes you hear too much. Like the Sunday night a few weeks ago when her Pastor Daddy was talking about Father Christmas and St. Nicholas. The story has it that St. Nicholas cared for the needy and gave gifts to children. He later died but the tradition was picked up in many countries and instead of being ... Read More »
Mitchell shares his latest lego creations
http://vimeo.com/115653403 For the record he does not watch horror movies. Walking Dead? - well he's caught one or two episodes with his parents. My Mom would roll over in her grave. Oh wait, she's not there yet so please don't rush it by informing her of that little piece of information thanyouverymuch. Nice job Mitchell! You have an incredible mind that has an ability to ...
