Our family is being shaped by the ministry of Open Doors which is a group that reaches out to families of persecuted Christians. In the World Watch List 2019 (a compilation of the top 50 most persecuted Countries) they list each country's population, who their leader is and the rate of persecution. There are three ways to pray for that country and for the Christians in that ... Read More »

Oh, my friends, there will be times when praying is flat out hard to do. For lots of different reasons. Sometimes it's a time issue. Other times it's the position of our hearts - weary hearts can neglect to pray or refuse to pray. But press on. Tell God you don't feel like praying and tell him where your heart hurts. Don't wait for things to be perfect to begin praying. Pray ... Read More »

One of the coolest things for us as ... Read More »
Parenting isn’t for wimps
*I wrote this post weeks ago and forgot about it. I found it sitting in my drafts and God knew I needed to be reminded of what I knew in my head but needed to know in my heart once again. One of the hardest things in parenting is to watch your kids grapple with life and faith. It's incredibly awesome and incredibly scary all at the same time. We've always wanted our kids to ... Bible Study Tales
The question was this: If you had 5 hours to spend and you could do anything what would you do? It was an ice-breaker for a women's study we just started. We had just found our "partners" and now we had three questions to ask them and would later introduce that lady to the rest of the group. This was by far the most interesting question because the answers were such a wide ... Read More »
