We’re heading to a wedding this afternoon. Next weekend I’ll be attending a bridal shower for another young to-be bride. And so begins the wedding season with showers, rehearsals, ceremonies and luncheons. It’s all so much fun.
Of course punch is usually a part of these festivities. Where I’m from we’ve got the punch thing mastered. It took me 7 years to figure out the easiest most-bestest punch out there. I had a friend who took me aside and spoke some truth into my punch making soul. She set me straight and gave me the Cheerwine punch recipe. I had been making a fabulous but time consuming recipe (linked below) and was killing myself. But for all you type A’s out there I still posted the punch recipe that was digging my premature grave.
So here’s to Punch Season……..
Cheerwine Pineapple Punch
(1) two liter Cheerwine (soft drink)
(1) can Pineapple Juice
Directions:
Freeze your can of pineapple juice and set out a few hours before mixing. Pour ingredients and keep your ratio 1:1 and you’ll have an easy and delicious punch recipe. Add a frozen ring of lemon-lime koolaide and add cherries for some additional fun. Trust me this is a great recipe even though it sounds too simple to be good.
Sherbet Punch
1/2 gallon lime sherbet
1 (64oz) can pineapple juice
1 (2 liter) bottle gingerale
Directions:
Thaw sherbet slightly and add other ingredients. Enjoy!
And if you’re brave and you want the world’s best punch recipe and you have some time on your hands then you’ll want to know THIS recipe. It’s awesome!
Have fun serving and sipping punch this Spring!
